One of the reasons Vision Event Photography has grown so quickly is our attention to detail and up-front preparation. For example, in the case of the 3-day 2015 Currency Conference, we did a site inspection with the client and event organizer months ahead of the event at the Westin Bayshore, planning photos and determining optimal equipment for a large 400-person group shot. The result of this due diligence, was that we opted to bring a 24 foot tripod with a motorized pivot mount and used digital legerdemain to stitch attendees into a beautiful Vancouver Seawall setting. Topping this off, we made 500 8’ x 11’ prints with text and black frames and had them delivered by the next day.
Previously, at the conference proper, we used the same uber-tripod to shoot stunning aerial shots of the conference and trade show floor. Further, to make the best use of time, we divided shooting tasks between our day photographer and our evening event specialist. Capitalizing on social media, we provided on-site editing for the conference’s social media team and an online link to the press for daily newsworthy shots.
